More than 20 years ago, after failing the bar exam, law school graduate Meng Zhong was drowning in despair. Working as a taxi driver, he had a heated argument with a drunken passenger which ended up with Meng pushing him into a river. Now a public interest lawyer, a case involving a young girl triggers memories of that fateful night. Racked with guilt, Meng sets out to make up for past mistakes.
