Awaiting refugee status by the Hong Kong government are Hassan and his Pakistani parents. Not fitting in, Hassan dreams of a life in Canada, but that is quickly shattered after his father is killed in a road accident. Stricken with guilt over the death, a taxi driver takes on the role of Hassan’s protector.
