In order to overcome his social anxiety, Max adopts an adorable therapy puppy, Chloe. Meanwhile, wild child Nicole, proving to herself that she can value others’ needs above her own, adopts a stray dog, Channing. After matching on a dating app, Max, Nicole and their dogs meet at a dog park for a disastrous first date. They vow to lose each other’s numbers, until they find that Channing and Chloe have gotten along a little too well, resulting in an upcoming litter of puppies. Nicole and Max are now forced to overcome their initial enmity in order to become responsible co-parents.
