Mara reconnects with her old friend Vera who has inherited her grandmother’s house in the village of Serra d’Irta, on the gorgeous Valencian coast of Spain. Though 20 years have passed, Vera seems to Mara to be exactly the same: a joyful, sociable free spirit, a personality that Mara has always been inspired by. Stagnant in her own life, Mara begins to make increasingly bizarre decisions, upending the audience’s expectations. After their reunion, Mara impulsively sneaks back into Vera’s home to dress in her clothes, cook her recipes, and meet with Vera’s lover as her phone accumulates worried messages from her husband. Until Vera unexpectedly returns.
