When a team of young doctors commences a local humanitarian mission through the Amazonian rainforest, it soon becomes clear that not everyone – or everything – is happy to see them. After a sudden, fatal accident involving a group of western contractors, the medical expedition is forced upriver, now on the run in an already hostile environment. Their unwanted arrival has also awoken a predator that was long‐thought to be extinct and of mythological proportions, Boiúna. Dominant on land and in water, this ancient snake‐like animal commits to taking back the jungle from its unwanted intruders. What commences is an all‐out battle for survival and our unlikely hero must first shed her own skin before ascending to the title of protector to this sacred land.
